Background
Every two years Cologne is home to the world’s biggest dental fair, called ids. As part of this event, the OEMUS MEDIA AG publishes the daily trade fair newspaper called „today“.

In Addition to the newspaper the company had the idea to offer a special service to there existing and potential clients in the form of an mobile app.

Project Brief
The task was to create a mobile first exhibitor search for the fair. It should consist of the ability to search for exhibitors, halls and product groups. Other touchpoint that should be considered are trade fair news, product highlights, hall plan and point of interest.

Projet Summary
Allround it was a very nice project and for me personally it was awesome to jump back in to a mobile app design task. In terms of complexity it was not the biggest challenge, but still very demanding, because the hole production time was cut low and in the progression of building the app, the development changed it from a native App to PWA.

Potential extra features that has not been implentented in the final product:
– Search with voice
– Interactive hall plan
– Implementation of AR technology to find booths in the halls
– The possiblity to book appointments via the app
